On January 9, 2009, TÜV SÜD Shanghai Branch issued NO.001 thin-film PV module certificate to GS-Solar, thereby making our company the first professional thin-film module manufacturer in China to receive IEC 61646 Certification. On February 19, 2009, TÜV Rheinland also issued an IEC 61646 certification to GS-Solar. In August 2009, Intertek Testing Services certified our modules in accordance with UL1703 standard which authorizes us to use the “ETL” certification mark.  Both the UL1703 standard and the IEC 61646 "Thin-film terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) modules — Design qualification and type approval" are test standards used globally by the solar industry in order to verify that new solar modules and the encapsulation materials and manufacturers of solar modules meet a minimum set of functional and mechanical requirements to prove confidence for claim of long-term modules performance integrity. Certifications from both TÜV SÜD and TÜV Rheinland as well as Intertek confirm GS Solar's modules adhere to IEC’s stringent requirements for functional and mechanical capabilities for long-term operation under open-air environments. Our customers expect our modules to last for the duration of their long dated projects, so we are determined to ensure our products live up to the promises.
